Developed and licensed by AJCC, the TNM8 Breast Cancer Calculator is a comprehensive tool for Breast Cancer Staging based on the TNM 8th Edition - AJCC Cancer Staging Manual. This updated resource offers insights into the Anatomic Stage, Clinical Prognostic Stage, and Pathological Prognostic Stage.

All data and definitions within this calculator are meticulously derived from the Updated Breast Chapter of the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual 8th Edition, published on November 10, 2017. This chapter presents both the classic Anatomic Stage Group and the innovative Prognostic Stage Group, which includes the Clinical Prognostic Stage and Pathological Prognostic Stage. These stages integrate biomarker factors to enhance the accuracy of cancer outcome prediction for personalized and precise treatment approaches.

The prognostic factors featured in the new TNM system encompass Tumor Grade (G), HER2, Estrogen Receptor (ER), and Progesterone Receptor (PR). Moreover, eligible cases under Pathological Prognostic Stage benefit from the incorporation of Genomic Profiles as an additional prognostic factor.

The Anatomic Stage exclusively focuses on the anatomical extent of cancer as indicated by T, N, and M categories, providing crucial information for all patients regardless of prognostic staging possibilities.

Clinical Prognostic Stage assigns stages based on historical data, physical examinations, imaging studies, and relevant biopsies. On the other hand, Pathological Prognostic Stage evaluates patients who have undergone surgical resection as their primary cancer treatment. While Clinical Prognostic Stage doesn't include genomic profiling data, it plays a major role in determining stage based on various clinical parameters.

The innovative feature of this App is its ability to quantify changes between Clinical Prognosis Stage (cPS) and Pathological Prognostic Stage (pPS) concerning the Anatomic Stage (AS). The Staging Line illustrates these changes with a symbol indicating an increase or decrease in Prognostic Staging.

Another notable function integrated into this App is its display of Oncotype DX® / Genomic Profile only in relevant settings where genomic testing is potentially beneficial.
